Denelle Dixon goes by the UN philosophy that Empowering Women with improved financial inclusion is good for everyone. She further opined that it is important to decrease the access gap to improve on greater financial inclusion.
Blockchain technology provides new ideas to bridge the gap to make financial services available to women and to communities wherever they are. She stated that they can provide for this need, ultimately empowering the underserved. It is important to recognize that there is gender gap in the digital world too.
Denelle Dixon concluded stating, “At the Stellar Development Foundation, we want to change the world. We are committed to proving that blockchain will unlock financial inclusion and empower economic participation for women and the world. Collectively, we can make this happen.”
One of the cryptocurrency reporters when talking about the adoption factor with an initiative to a vulnerable population stated that there is a higher bar for disclosures and informed consent.
The questions that remain are if the women are less interested in Bitcoin or if there is an income gap behind the gender disparity in the cryptocurrency space?”
