Stellar Lumens (XLM) Tyler Van Der Hoeven Engineering Talks Scheduled to Discuss Usable Blockchain Applications

The Stellar Community Podcast has been helping the community grow all over the world.

Tyler Van Der Hoeven, Ecosystem Evangelist at Stellar Org, shared his thoughts on the most significant challenge when programming path payments.

He stated that the most challenging problem in cross border payment, I think, is really the same problem that blockchain itself has.  And, that is just selling the idea.

When talking about programming path payments, he stated that “path payments” is a unique solution that touches so many different entities that you have got like the governmental regulatory aspects.  Then, you have also got business leaders, developers, users, and ultimately you have to sell this idea.  He stated, “That is difficult. It is a challenge.”

When talking about the problems in programming, he stated, “There are a lot of programming problems for sure, but ultimately those are all solvable, and those are all relatively simple.”

Smart people have worked on a lot of these and come up with solutions to many of the programming problems, but if we can’t find ways to navigate the different tiers of stakeholders in this new thing, we are building. Then, ultimately it does not go anywhere.

So, figuring out ways to solve for how to resolve this idea that is probably what I would consider the most difficult problem in cross border payments.

Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert, tweeted:  “Tyler Van Der Hoeven for Stellar Lumens (XLM) is clear that different tiers of stakes holders have a different purpose to be in. He rightly identifies the importance of sorting it.”

Stellar Lumens (XLM) Series of Engineering talks

Tyler Van Der Hoeven recently tweeted: “Don’t forget, at 1 pm EDT I’m going live to talk about practical path payments in the first of a new series of engineering talks we’re doing here at @StellarOrg.”

This implies that Stellar is all set in the process of engineering “Path Payments,” which hopefully will differentiate the different tiers of stakeholders in the process.

Path payments are unique to Stellar because it allows one to send and convert money at the same time.  “I send Dollars, and you get Euros.” This is indeed a powerful solution because it will help save a lot of value, which should otherwise be spent in the process of the different money conversion processes.

Awaiting the Round Table Discussion on the Stellar Ecosystem Standard for sending and receiving transactions scheduled live on April 16, 2020, and the Live Engineering talk on “Creating Usable Stellar Applications” scheduled April 24, 2020.
