Some of the Tezos (XTZ) investors opine that it is currently best positioned to compete with Ethereum directly.

They cite that the largest and potential fundamental flaw within ETH is its governance.  The edge they feel that Tezos has versus ETH is the self-funding mechanism of XTZ, which potentially solves the governance issue, thus empowering Tezos to serve as an alternative to ETH. A lot like what ETH did BTC.

There are yet others who keep interrogating on why Tezos over EOS, TRON, and Cardano?

In response to “Yes XTZ is better than others in the line,” the enthusiasts stated that is just as much about how far ahead ETH really is compared to its competitors. Further clarified, if you disagree, what would you consider the best ETH competitor – since, there is always a best competitor even if that bar is low in comparison.

The enthusiast justifies stating that he is a founding investor in both XTZ & DASH, but still considers XTZ to be a more capable competitor solely due to its inclusion of a “Turing complete smart contracting language.” Further Clarifies that Dash still lacks Turing completeness and puts XTZ ahead of all as the best competitor for ETH.

Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert, tweeted:  “There have been several cryptos apart from XTZ like TRON and many others claiming to be ETH competitors for quite some time now. True that formalized governance takes away all politics in governance, though.”

Tezos (XTZ) Biggest Staking Network

Tezos is the biggest staking network with more than $1.8B assets locked in staking.

Tezos upgrades are easier without a hard fork. Tezos will be able to upgrade itself using an in-protocol amendment process and therefore doing away with the hard fork. This will, in a way, accelerate innovation, eventually reducing the likelihood of contentious splits.  They will be able to coordinate stakeholders in one network over a long period of time. This is indeed a plus.

Developers are working hard in all the Tezos communities, thus making it possible for Tezos to touch the heights it deserves as a blockchain. Interestingly, Tezos surpassed EOS for the first time in cryptocurrency history.

Of note, Weiss ratings was also impressed by Tezos.  The rating agency has stated that the technology powering Tezos is outshining even leading cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETC), and XRP.

Despite being a newcomer, Tezos has gained recognition for a valid and strong reason.  With a well-knit community, the future for Tezos is, of course, bright.  What has happened so far has taken place in a short duration of time, there is more to come.
