The Ethereum ecosystem, according to Vitalik, is at a stage where implementing the existing ideas well matters more than coming up with new ideas.
Vitalik recently spoke about how people often complain that the Ethereum narrative “keeps changing”. He stated that it is false. Rather, he clarified that the Ethereum narrative is inherently pluralist, containing bets that at least one of many kinds of applications will grow and prosper.
Vitalik.eth tweeted: “*Emphasis* sometimes changes in cycles, but just because we start talking about thing B doesn’t mean we’ve abandoned thing A; rather, thing A continues to exist in the background and is quietly worked on.”
Vitalik also clarified about how a chain is the maintainer’s responsibility and about how it is not the property of the maintainer.
Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert, tweeted: “Whether about Ethereum (ETH) or any other cryptocurrency use cases, execution is everything.”
Robert, a Wikipedia Contributor and European Tech Enthusiast, reinstated about Ethereum by stating that there is remarkable progress with DeFi Protocols.
He recalled about how 2 years ago, there was only MakerDAO and Augur Projects and how all of a sudden they are into the beginning of the Cambiran explosion with the entire ecosystem emerging with synthetix_io, opyn, compound finance, argentHQ and lot more.
The community opinion about Ethereum is mixed. One of the ETH community commentators expressed that it is already prime time for Ethereum to make a huge impact globally due to the pandemic; however, he stated that he felt like everyone working on the tech are asleep behind in the wheel. He expressed his frustration about not being able to get a solid release date for ETH 2.0.
Several community members opine that it is high time ETH gets their act together. They are wondering is ETH can handle the Cat Game. Too many ideas they feel is paralyzing.
While discussing market research and creating awareness, one of the members expressed that investors are not chasing randomly any crypto for 100x return. He recalled how it is a different era, and how investors are looking at promising projects which have utilities use case and real revenue-generating projects in the real-time world.
Rather than reassurance that the project will work, the ecosystem is eagerly waiting to see the project work. They feel prioritization is important right now.
