Cardano (ADA) has recently alerted on hypes in a way reinstating that anything that offers more in return than what the protocol can achieve might not be true.
Cardano Foundation tweeted: “Dear Community — Cardano Foundation and its partners are not in any kind of talks or discussions with MasterCard on joint projects. Any claims otherwise are false and do not correspond with reality. Please beware of fake statements and follow our official channels.”
Further tweeted: “We would like to remind everyone to please always check the official sources @CardanoStiftung, @InputOutputHK, and @emurgo_io to make sure unnecessary confusion and hype are avoided.”
Despite the open announcement, some of them continue to think that Cardano is trying to keep their deal with MasterCard confidential. Some continue to think that the word got out. They also opine that they would point-blank deny it and later on announce it afterward. Yet others believe Charles would not deny if it is true.
It just sounds like many of them would like to see a deal between Cardano and Mastercard. A comment implying the same reads thus: “MasterCard does not issue cards, issuing banks do, MasterCard is not involved in the process… so technically, the statement is crafted well enough to be true.”
Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert, tweeted: “Cardano (ADA) has already created many expectations about its potential. Users are imagining big things coming from ADA already.”
Vitalik Buterin reply states, “I hereby acknowledge Zilliqa.” In response, Charles Hoskinson responded, “I thought we had something special :(……..”
He was probably referring to how Vitalik very recently tweeted: “I hereby acknowledge Cardano.” And Charles Hoskinson responded, “I hereby acknowledge Ethereum:)”
No matter what acknowledging different cryptocurrencies is considered to be a refreshing respite from the constant tribalism in the cryptocurrency space. Respecting each other is a good evolution. This can be the start of different crypto communities supporting each other and attracting investors as opposed to continually thrashing each other in very public ways. It just that there is room for every kind of cryptocurrency in the cryptocurrency space.
Yet another commentator felt that some kind of acknowledgment from Justin Sun will help feel the whole thing as complete.
Cardano is getting very close to launching Shelly.
