TRON has been very clear about ensuring a safe public chain in compliance with global regulations and policies. It has been stated that the developers will be able to adopt the shielded transaction feature simply by implementing the smart contract feature.

According to Sun, TRON 4.0 being the first of its kind smart contract privacy protocol supported by a Virtual Machine, which combines the advantages of DPoS and PBFT, reduces the block confirmation times from 57 seconds to 3 seconds, the protocol will also provide for Cross-Chain transactions in the TRON ecosystem. It will serve to be the Defi Solution for the deployment of customized blockchain-based applications.
It has already been made clear that TRX will not be private or anonymous. Tron 4.0 is likely to be the first blockchain platform to host a smart contract privacy protocol. The smart contract is set to be open source, and it will be made available to any developer working on the Tron ecosystem.

Some of the cryptocurrency space members opine that TRON is trying to copy everything that Ethereum does. However, a TRON enthusiast replied that TRON outperforms ETH in every way and that there is no contest. Further clarified that “That’s like comparing a brick Nokia phone to an IPhone 11 Pro.”
Tron enthusiasts opine that TRON is not even comparable and that TRON has been smart about using the DPoS route right from the beginning, further stating that they have been building ever since. Also commented on how ETH has pigeon-holed themselves with PoW and clarifying that they do not even see about how they will be able to scale without compromise.
