Pigzbe continued in its path to achieving blockchain-based financial education for children as it rolled out an update on its cutting edge application on July, 10th. The update allows parents to add family members to join in supporting and educating children financially.

Financial Education for Children- Where’s the World at? 

One basic aspect of education that is often skipped for children is financial education. Many people think that children cannot be saddled with the responsibility of handling finances until a certain age so they allow them to spend money anyhow. But this is quite sad as children in this sect grow up to become financially irresponsible adults who lack a basic foundation in handling and managing funds. No matter how big an income may be a bad manager will continue to remain poor. People who were taught to manage finances early grow up to become well-mannered people. Financial education is just as important as other forms of education and people struggle to get the basic habit of handling it in just a few hours of seminar, conference, or books- it is meant to be a lifelong lesson. 

Pigzbe’s Mission and Use cases

Pigzbe saw this lack and decided to fill the gap with an exciting application and hardware device fit to help parents teach their children (of over 6years) financial lessons on hard work and savings. This device uses the gamification method to allow parents to give interesting assignments to children to teach them self discipline and reward them with Wollo (WLO) tokens after the completion of the assignment. All activities are assigned by the parents who keep track of the children’s progress. The application and device for parents also allow them to tip their children or give them pocket money via WLO tokens and allow the children to save it up to an extent when it will be exchanged for fiat to buy them things. Children can use their device as games when they do not have assignments to fulfill. 

The recent update allows the parent to add family members like grandparents, uncles, and aunties to join in teaching the children. They are allowed to also tip the children and give assignments with restricted permissions and all governed by the parents. 

A Successful Start

Pigzbe conducted a successful fundraiser on Kickstarter for its devices back in 2018 where 500 units were sold out in 8hours. The rate of adoption of the tech according to Pigzbe was phenomenal as parents want more. The project after a successful hard-cap collection from its ICO continues to work and update its community.
