Ethereum Classic (ETC) Exploring the Checkpointing Solution from IOG

Ethereum Classic ETC IOG

Enthusiasts feel that the success of ETC will contribute to the success of Cardano. They further claim that once side-chain functionality is Live in Deadalus, it will be much more simplified to showcase side-chain functionality by integrating a token that exists under the IOHK umbrella.

Ethereum Classic tweeted:  “IOG engineers will be present at Thursday’s meeting to demo the “Checkpointing” solution by creating a mock 51% attack on Mantis. They’ll be here to help others implement this into their clients. So please hold off a little while longer. – @IOHK_Charles”

The good thing about the IOHK recommendation is that the resources directed towards working on ETC do not take away from ADA as they are a separate team.

Charles has been forever good in explaining problems and providing precise solutions.  The good thing about his attitude is not only to facilitate decentralization within just Cardano, but decentralization in the whole blockchain ecosystem as a whole with interoperability.

Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted:  “Ethereum Classic (ETC) are exploring the check pointing solution from IOG, probably a breakthrough due very soon.  Interoperability might likely skyrocket.”

The community well knows that a strong Ethereum Classic getting absorbed into the Cardano creating a strong competitor in the crypto space is not going to happen at all. Obviously, ETC love to be ETC and what they actually stand for.

It is not practical for one to get forsaken for the sake of another.  However, the developers in the blockchain space whether from Cardano or any other blockchain have a duty of care to the ETC community and if they can provide certain protections, it is good. While it is not good to be at the expense of another, it helps for the overall blockchain space to fight against attackers. Sometimes it is good to listen to good things coming our way.

Ethereum Classic (ETC) Lot of Things Happening

Ethereum Cooperative tweeted:  “We’re currently working on a blog post walkthrough to show and guide node operators on how to switch over to Besu from #OpenEthereum or MultiGeth. @Hyperledger Besu is an enterprise grade piece of node software with a large and dedicated team of developers behind it. Stay tuned!”

In response, the users stated that setting upBesu node was easier than setting up the Core Geth nodes.

Ethereum Classic have expressed that they would love for more participants to join them in ETCLand! There are too many important topics and proposals for that could use more input and feedback.

A lot of things are happening on Discord which has more than 6,516 members.  They believe a lot can be done with a free voice chat and text chat.
