ChainLink Hackaton Updates

Chainlink Official Channel recently reinstated on how smart contract devs using Chainlink will be excited to release improved price reference contracts with new resiliency features. They have pointed users to follow up on developer communications to know more in this regard.

Also, ChainLink has reinstated on how Reliable price data is important to securing the user’s collateral within DeFi.  They have been pointing to how it is possible to quickly integrate ChainLink’s secure and reliable price feeds like SNX/ETH into the dApp to build DeFi products in lending, staking, yield farming, derivatives & more.

Developers are continuing to add many several improvements to Chainlink. With the DeFi ecosystem maturing, the ChainLink smart contracts and software are forever evolved by developers to keep up with their increasing demand for new feeds, security and scalability features and resilience around network congestion.  ChainLink developers are committed to communicating prospective changes in advance to the ecosystem.  They have a dedicated page to provide information on their upgrade plans with timelines. This is a good and easy way for users to follow the developments.

The Chainlink Virtual Hackathon is in progress and more than 1,000 developers have registered for the event. They have stated that they are excited about the range of unique DeFi, gaming, and smart contract dApps that the participants are set to build with Chainlink.   The event will be progressing until September 27, 2020.

Regarding the recent SmartCon, “Sergey Nazarov expressed himself by saying, “Thank you to all the amazing speakers, community members and the truly committed conference organizers who made SmartCoin a showcasing of new ideas about how to build the next generation of smart contracts. We’ll be gradually sharing sessions on You Tube.”

ChainLink (LINK) Integrations

Autonomous crypto derivative platform LienFinance are now live on Ethereum mainnet consuming Chainlink ETH/USD Price Reference Data. Noteworthy, Chainlink’s DeFi price oracle is used for settling contracts, confirming collateral eligibility, and calculating volatility.

Users have opined that it is a great move from Lien Finance and that it is awesome looking at them moving forward. 

For those who do not know about Lien Finance, it is a protocol for creating Options & Stablecoins from ETH. Create/trade stablecoin $iDOL & ETH call option $LBT.

Lien Protocol and FairSwap who have integrated ChainLink Price Oracle (ETH/USD) are already live on mainnet. Both of these smart contracts are running as designed.  They have expressed their excitement over the reliable price data.
