Sam Conner recently discussed the “KELP Trading Bot” with Nikhil Saraf from the Stellar Development Foundation and also with Wouter Arkink from Stellar battle.

For those who do not know, Kelp is a free, customizable, open-source trading bot for Stellar universal marketplace.

In the podcast, they discussed about “What the Kelp software will be able to do, how it will be able to aim to provide for liquidity to the Stellar Decentralized Exchange (DEX), how it can be used to trade the different forms of value on the Stellar network, how it is not just confined to the Stellar DEX, and on how it has got the capability to integrate seamlessly with several hundreds of exchanges like Kraken.

The general feeling is that the power of Kelp is mostly unknown and not tapped with several features like the Graphical User Interface in development.  Of note, there is currently a Stellar battle with a 20,000 XLM prize pool are to be split among three people that produce high quality educational content about Kelp.

The Meridian team are interested in hearing from the Stellar ecosystem about the sessions and speakers that one would like to see at Meridian 2020.  They have placed a Typeform to get the details about this.  Those who are interested in let know of their views to Stellar, might want to fill the page.

Also, the SDF and the Stellar Community are organizing a virtual meet up on September 29th, 2020 at 1:00 PM ET. They are hosting a community “show and tell”, to provide an introduction to Meridian2020, and also to vote on submissions to the Ecosystem Meridian Speaker Survey.

For those who do not know Meridian 2020, it is an annual meet up organized by Stellar to bring together engaging speakers from across the world to explore topics like interoperability, liquidity, policy, and more. This year this is happening online and the blockchain conference is virtual and free for everyone.

This is one of the many attempts by Stellar to fulfill their vision of equitable access to the global financial system. They are focusing on making this goal a reality to create global connections which will solve the real world challenges.
