Electric Coin Company are the inventors of Zcash.  They recalled on how Zcash will be turning 4 next week and they sought experts’ perspective. Hopefully, they will continue their mission of Building and supporting privacy infrastructure for the public good, with a focus on Zcash. 501(c)(3) public charity.

They have asked some kids to draw a zk-SNARK. They have told the kids that they do not know what they actually look like.  They asked the kids to use their imagination.  They had their own questions in this regard.

They told the children that Zk-Snarks protect our privacy and freedom.  They were first discovered in the late 80s.  ZK-SNARKS use very advanced math.  They prevent mistakes and can even stop people from doing bad things. The children were asked to release the Snarks.  There were wide arrays of drawings that envisioned the image of SNARKS.

About Zcash Turning 4 Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted:  “Zcash (ZEC) have been doing a great job protecting the privacy and freedom of users and hope they do it for many more years to come as they approach their birthday.”

Zcash (ZEC) and Wrapped

Zooko tweeted:  “Privacy Coin Zcash Makes Its Ethereum ‘Wrapped’ Debut with Tokensoft and Anchorage”

The weekly forum update reported, Zcash (ZEC) is the first coin supported by Wrapped, Tokensoft and Anchorage’s cross-chain bridge. WZEC aka wrapped zcash is an ERC-1404 that “is a 1:1 representation of Zcash on Ethereum held in custody by Anchorage. Wrapped tokens provide a big shot of liquidity to DEXs and offer otherwise staid assets the ability to frolic in the wilds of decentralized finance (DeFi).

Of note, Wrapped is the best place to get access to layer one protocols on Ethereum. The first asset being launched is Wrapped Zcash.

When asked if the wrapped version doesn’t come with the anonymity set.  The reply was, Exactly.  IMO.  Regarding getting Wrapped one of the users opined, differentiating chains don’t need to be afraid of being wrapped. If at all, it creates interest and, as you rightly said, can introduce people to features and ecosystems outside of ethereum that they hadn’t previously considered.

While Zooko retweeted about Wrapped it just looks like while other founders find the idea of their coins wrapped on ethereum unpalatable.
