Roger Ver gave his Bitcoin Supporter Logic in which he stated, we have to keep the blocks small so people can afford to potentially run a full node while the masses just use custodial “wallets”.

Charlie Lee replied to a Roger Ver tweet stating Roger, you are exactly right. Freedom of money is just like freedom of speech and right to bear arms. Most people won’t need them, but it’s extremely important to have that freedom/right for those that do need them. That’s why we do everything we can to protect it at all costs.

Some of the Litecoin users agree to the Charlie Lee logic and stated, agree 100% this is why many people convert their cash to Bitcoin and Litecoin to free themselves from the corrupt fractional reserve banking system. Litecoin is the money for the people.

Commenting, Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert opined:  “Litecoin (LTC) was previously trolled for lack of development.  However, year 2020 was a year full of development for LTC. 2021 will bring in more.”

Litecoin are consistently developing on their smart contract capabilities. More of news about Mimble Wimble is expected in 2021.  Lot of what it takes to improve LTC in terms of fungibility and trustless money is expected to unfold this year.  Criticism from skeptics is here to stay, but beyond all that LTC keeps progressing.

Litecoin (LTC) Partnerships in 2020

Litecoin Foundation got in to lot of partnerships during year 2020 to provide for virtual and hybrid events.

Litecoin Foundation early in January 2020 partnered with BlockFi to facilitate Litecoin users with more options.  BlockFi’s suite of products were mainly focused on empowering users with the ability to earn interest and also borrow against their Litecoin in collateralized loans.

Progressively, Litecoin was involved in a number of partnerships.  Partnership with MeconCash made it possible for fiat withdrawals at more than 13,000 ATMs across South Korea. 

The partnership with Bitcoin Rewards makes it possible for users to earn Litecoin by shopping online.

The partnership with Atari made Litecoin as a mode of payment in several of the Atari ventures and projects.

Centercoin implemented LTC in their payment ecosystem for DeFi.  In partnership with Ternio, Litecoin Foundation released the Litecoin Card. 

Also, Revolut included Litecoin for crypto customers who are in the United States.  The X Cipsoft Gaming partnership with Litecoin Foundation led to the release of LiteBringer.  

These were the major nameable partnerships which were the topic of discussion in 2020.  More of such might happen in 2021.
