When you venture into the Cosmos Ecosystem, it is not unusual for you to hear about Stargate. It is all about Internet of Blockchains, and it will be possible to prepare the integrations for the imminent Stargate upgrades on the Cosmos Hub.

Stargate recently went live because of the cosmos community of validators, developers, integrators, clients, end users and $ATOM holders.  They have all made it happen.

Stargate is all about bringing the Internet of Blockchains to life. It just looks like the Cosmos vision is coming to life.  And the internet of blockchains is sprouting the very first connections.

For more clarity, Stargate is a set of upgrades that complete the original roadmap laid out in the Cosmos Whitepaper. For the first time ever, Cosmos blockchains will be able to connect with each other using the first standardized protocol for inter-blockchain communication (IBC).

Talking about the most gas efficient Ethereum to Cosmos bridge, it is the Gravity Bridge.  There is already a documentation on how the whole system works, in an understandable way, at a medium level of detail.

For immediate clarity an extract from the document:  Gravity lets people transfer tokens from Ethereum to Cosmos and back again by locking up tokens on the Ethereum side, and minting equivalent tokens on the Cosmos side. Unlike many bridges, Gravity is completely non-custodial- you only need to trust in the security of the Cosmos chain, not some third party bridge administrators who could run off with your funds.

However, Atom holders have been warned that some disruptions might incur due to the Stargate upgrade: however, they have required holders not to worry about it.  Further, stated that the team will keep the users constantly updated. Also, stated to not share the seed phrase with anyone requiring users to stay safe.

For some cosmos users who are asking when they will update to Stargate, the answer is that most already have the update on the latest imToken v2.8.2 app. They have to state that they haven’t announced it yet.

For others:  They have been asked to update and restart the app while online and further asking for help as need be.

Tgrade is reportedly, a blockchain framework focused on regulated DeFi.  Lot of native support for DeFi happening very soon.  Tgrade being a robust smart contracting platform is expected to bring incredible utility to Cosmos and lot of value to Atom holders.
