In response, Sia stated, at the end of the day, this is all about power. And in this case, it’s the economic power derived from control over information.  This is why we need a decentralized internet like Skynet. We will always struggle for transparency and access under centralized gatekeepers.

Open markets institute stated, three companies hold 85% of social networking site market share. Three companies! Further stated, stopping Big Tech’s monopoly power would certainly transform America.

Sia also expressed, we broke up railroad monopolies and we can do the same to Big Tech. The 2020’s will be the era that we stop Big Tech’s manipulation, that competition flourishes, and user privacy becomes the standard.

While skeptics say, Nice dreaming. It will never happen. Not by another company who relies on being able to share on social media. You will just get shadow banned. This has to be a powerful force, not needing social media, not needing networks, and an organisation, closed off form external needs.

We need to wait to see how things unfold, because many things that were considered to be impossible have become possible.

Sia pointed to how 96.5% of YouTubers do not earn enough to break the federal poverty line per Offenburg University.  They believe in that, we need a new creator economy because content creators deserve better. They have to reinstate that Skynet and Web3 can offer that hope.
