Ethereum Classic (ETC) Looks like Bootleg Chinese Version of Ethereum

Ethereum Classic ETC

Ethereum Classic (ETC) ETC is the only major Smart Contract platform with a known future supply. Just like Bitcoin, Ethereum Classic has a fixed emission schedule. Choose Unstoppability. Choose Principles. Choose Money. Choose ETC.

Some of them feel that rebranding will give it a better vision and a better name for itself.  Even changing the logo to the green Phoenix on the ETC.org site will be good, because Ethereum Classic sounds like a bootleg Chinese version of ethereum, horrible branding.

Others added, also very 51% attackable and prone to exchanges stopping/halting withdrawals.

Users who give negative comments, seem to be those who are genuinely interested in everything ETC.

However, the stewards of the Ethereum Classic protocol, the ETCCooperative, believes providing public transparency is absolutely paramount. They expressed that they are pleased to share the latest ECC Transparency Board Package. The ETC Cooperative Board Package: January-February 2021 is published.

There are many who believe that the time for ETC will come and they are waiting patiently.  The ETC hashrate nears 6 month high.

Ethereum Classic recently pointed to how it looks like Rep. Mark Green, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Tennessee’s 7th district, recently grabbed himself some ETC.

In response some of the users stated, this could be something to keep an eye on should more political figures start buying ETC. They might be getting some insight into the future of this coin and feel good about its potential.

The Ethereum Classic Opportunities by Crypto Ether Plan have been described as suitable SoV, complementary to Bitcoin, Base-layer for other chains, High value, high security property and agreement management Opportunity in core, infrastructure, and services segments.

When someone called it a dead chain, an interested user redirected stating look at the Hash rate and performance. Some also pointed to how Grayscale are collecting the ETC.

Also, some other developer expressed, ETC will be used by – L2 systems that need anchoring on a PoW Turing complete chain, Proof of stake networks to secure their state, Dapps and apps for their mission critical logical components, government, central banks and corporations for high-value programmable settlements.

A user who was tired of hoping stated: Will be? When? It’s been 8 years. There are plenty of secure blockchains to build on right now. ETC missed their chance when there was less competition. For all practical reasons, ETC is not going away any time soon.  We need to wait to see what the teams unfold.
