Stellar Lumens (XLM) Community Fund Finalists Named as Mojoflower and Blocknify Voting On April 26, 2021

The voting for the Stellar Community Seed Fund is set to begin soon.  For clarity, “The Seed Fund seeks to support early-stage Stellar development of long-term utilities for the ecosystem and it is viable, for-profit, businesses building products and services for the world.”

Stellar stated that so far have been 58 submissions.  From the 58 great submissions of businesses and developers who are looking to break into the digital value store and transfer game that 8 finalists have been selected to move on to the next phase in this round: The community discussion is ongoing regarding this.  More of feedback is welcomed until April 26, 2021.

For those who are new:  ‍Twice a year, about 5,000,000 XLM is split between 3-5 projects.  Of initial entries, 3-5 are chosen by a nomination panel of SDF and community members.  Final amount allocation is determined by quadratic community vote.  Strong emphasis on long term, real world, viable business applications.

The panel are looking to approve ideas which will be able to survive for at least a year.  Those who apply for the Seed Fund will be providing a business model as a part of their project submission.  The nomination panel will be basing their qualifications for the participation of both the business model plan.  They will also be looking in to the track record of building and contributing to successful endeavors.

The timeline for the seed fund has been running from the past year.  On August 31, 2020 – Submissions were open; On January 18, 2021 – Submission phase ended and the Panel selection began.

On March 15, 2021 Panel selection ended and the Community discussion began.  April 26, 2021, the community discussion will end and the Community voting will begin.  On May 10, 2021, the community voting ends.

Those who have missed this year, can try their chance by submitting for the next round of seed fund.

Mojoflower and Blocknify have been named as the finalists of the Stellar Community Seed Fund.

Stellar expressed:  “This round, two finalists – Mojoflower and Blocknify – stood out due to their respective use cases: regulation tech for the government to track shareholder ownership and a way to e-sign with Stellar as the notary. “
