Efficient e-government By Blockchain Technology

blockchain

The blockchain technology works beyond the currency applications, and we need to look beyond the currency applications.  The peer-to-peer networking and the consensus security mechanisms work in several other real-time applications other than just cryptocurrencies particularly in government tasks and as well in Identity management system providing for efficient e-government.

The ideal of e-Government requires a lot of applications for its functioning.  Several persistent documents should be authenticated in e-government, and the blockchain technology has already proved its capability in providing for the authentication process, therefore providing for an efficient document support infrastructure in e-government.

Different nations from across the world are exploring their e-government potential.  With increasing numbers of citizens making use of online services, governments have now realized that they are to do a lot to digitalize the front end and the back end for their users.

In a typical e-government process, the major priority is placed on authentic sources and electronic identification, transparency in the transactions, cross-border mobility and the entire process being user-centric.

The e-government potential of blockchain technology is so far underexploited.  The penetration is very poor.  A report from the European Commission when talking about the penetration and digitalization of the e-government in its different segments have been mapped for different counties in 4 different areas of fruitful, expandable, unexploited, and non-consolidated forms of e-government.

The fruitful e-government is indicative of the highest levels of penetration and digitization, the expandable e-government has high digitization but lower penetration levels, unexploited with higher penetration, and non-consolidated e-government with lower levels of digitization.

Lots of penetration means a large number of citizens are using online services. Lack of digitization means the government has not made any attempts to provide the required infrastructure for their users by providing the right kind of front and back offering technology required for e-government.

Though the classifications might not be perfect, the data does provide a ballpark idea about where we stand and what is lacking concerning the e-government regarding the need and regarding advancement and application for real-time use.

The resources are to be rethought, and the idea of applying blockchain technology can be efficiently considered by nations to implement e-government.  Blockchain technology can be efficiently used to prevent impersonation attacks.  The logs can be used to identify probable evidence for exploitation of data.  The criticality of the vulnerability can be studied, and suitable apps can be restructured to furnish the intended purpose. A lot can be done using blockchain technology to prevent arbitrary manipulation.

XinFin provides with enterprise grade hybrid blockchain for global trade and finance.  The developer team can customizes apps for e-government applications.
