Decred makes use of an innovative hybrid Proof-of-Work/Proof-of-Stake system that layers security and carefully aligns incentives. This system yields the best of both worlds, making it an order of magnitude more expensive to attack than pure Proof-of-Work or pure Proof-of-Stake.

For clarity, Decred makes use of a combination of PoW and PoS to yield the best of both systems, mitigate their weaknesses, and deliver a layered consensus mechanism which makes it far more secure than other cryptocurrencies.

Decred makes of traditional PoW with a BLAKE-256 hash algorithm, and it is mined exclusively by ASICs. Decred holders time-lock their funds to purchase tickets in a lottery. Those tickets are added to a pool of roughly 41,000 tickets, and five tickets are pseudorandomly selected to validate the Proof-of-Work for the previous block.

If at least 50% of the tickets approve the work of the miner, the miner’s reward is approved, and the block is added to the blockchain.

Total value staked (DCR, USD, and %) and Ticket price -Is this to be broadcasted once daily, similar to the current daily broadcast?

Notification when block reward drops to demonstrate scarcity is increasing (new PoW, PoS, Treasury, total reward) -Besides T-Val, does this mean a notification every time the POW block reward reduces as well as every time ticket price changes to indicate a change in POS reward?

Supply milestones (New million coins total supply, Treasury every 10k DCR growth) -To clarify for new Decred members, the supply cap is 21 million, which will post new circulating supply milestones. 14mil, 15mil, etc. Stop at 21milion.

Total Cost to Attack (take a few assumed inputs to the attack cost calculator and present $ per 1hr attack)

OPEX for POS I’m not sure how to gather does not seem to have OPEX for POS. Also, I see it has both internal and external attacks, with the addition of 2 choices of miners. They have pointed to a majority attack cost calculator.

Can we get some consensus as to how exactly this should be broadcasted? Please keep in mind the Bot needs reliable data, for example, the Decred attack cost calculator to derive its conclusions from.
