It is well known that Ethereum Network is working on an upgrade to bring in major changes like Proof of Stake Consensus Mechanism. Talking about this in detail in his blog, co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin has outlined his vision for the future roadmap for ETH 2.0.

Vitalik.eth expressed: “End Game”

In the blog he details about how it is possible for a big blockchain to perform admirably well with a censorship-resistant approach. Also, he lists out the trade off that happens with such scalability like centralization of block production.

Though Buterin did not explored centralization in this post, he provides a roadmap for implementation.

His blog states, “introduce either fraud-proof or ZK-SNARKS to let users directly (and cheaply) check block validity.” Also, he suggests introduction of “data availability sampling”. Thus making it clear that this will let users check block availability add secondary transaction channels to prevent censorship.

He has however implied that possibilities are strong for block production to become centralized. According to him, the advantage of Ethereum’s rollup-centric roadmap is that it is accessible to all futures.

Those who want to know more might want to read the blog titled End Game.

Community Reaction:  What am I missing here? Unless ETH2 txs go fully private, centralized block production breaks censorship resistance and makes the protocol exactly like VISA (centralized transaction orchestration, mapped out to many merchant banks ledgers for validation/settlement).

Googled “Endgame” to see what’s all the fuss on Ethereum. Found the picture of Charles with and ERC-20 converter instead.

I just read through Vitalik’s paper. He mentions Cosmos’ multi chain vision in context to shared security, data availability and cross-rollup bridging. Hello Cosmos. Evmos. Celestia & Co.

How many times does Vitalik Buterin need to tell you the future of ETH lies in Zkrollups?

ZKrollups is the endgame for Ethereum Scaling.

“Users frequently rely on cross-rollup bridging to jump between different rollups without paying the high fees on the main chain.”

‘Endgame’ is a weak attempt to try fix centralization and trust issues. A second tier of staking will not improve the core attributes of the network. Proof of Stake is fiat. Flawed from the initial design. Centralized and censorable.

How will this lower Ethereum fees? Quote” It will likely take years for all of this to play out. Sharding and data availability sampling are complex technologies to implement. It will take years of refinement and audits for people to be fully comfortable storing their assets.”

He is telling us years I believe and still it will take time for people to trust it. Do you have other info?  Nope. Should be wrapped up by next summer.
