Running Digibyte (DGB) node doesn't require you to turn on your PC 24x7

The Core Digibyte wallet connects to a variety of peers, not just the ‘closest’ or ‘fastest’. It finds connections from all over the world to ensure you get a broad consensus on the DigiByte blockchain.

Digibyte has some of the most accurate and stable block timings due to MultiShield. While other blockchain projects usually wait for several days or weeks to adjust, MultiShield tweaks, adjusts and refines every single block.

When Digibyte launched, there was a countdown to the release of the code and to the first block being mined. This was one of the things done to encourage a “fair” distribution, right from the very beginning in 2014.

Community response:  Running Digibyte node doesn’t require you to turn on your PC 24/7 (even an hour a day would be helpful). And if you really want to help DGB community, you could rent a VPS and spend like less than a dime/day.

And of course, running cheap SBC like Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, Rock Pi, etc.  Average power consumption of these SBCs are less than 5 Watt (0.12 kWh). With electricity cost 12¢/kWh, it only costs $0.0144/day!

How run the node on a VPs? Do you have a guide?  Yes, there is a Digibyte Guide.  Basically all you need to do is download Digibyte core wallet, extract it to your chosen directory, create DGB config and run the daemon (digibyted). You could check it using the cli getinfo command.

I would like to do this but I have no idea how to run a digibyte node on a VPs. Working with Linux console mode is like writing Chinese for me. I can only copy paste.

Do you have directions for mac mini to run full node? It’s the same, download digibyte core (Mac) and follow the instructions.

You can rent a windows VPS. Everything will be similar to a regular Windows computer.

Which news about the Digibyte Coin will send it to the moon desperately waiting.

MultiShield is one of the reason it is the best.

How about the “fair” 100.000.000 DGB pre-mine? How about the supply bug and the unlimited supply of DGB instead of hard cap at 18B?

Nice, but it would be good if DigiByteCoin would get more into Defi, NFT, and so on game.

Do you know if there is any documentation available on how to use DigiAssets? It’s great that it’s there and I’m sure a lot of people would love to help out but they’re stuck with what needs to be done to help. Lots of none techies looking for answers.

Unfortunately, haven’t found the good one.
