Should Uniswap Labs do more in the NFT world?

Uniswap

Recently, the community gave their expectation about what more Uniswap could do in the NFT World.

Hayden Z Adams asked the Uniswap Community:  Should Uniswap Labs do more in the NFT world?

It looks like Hayden was trying to understand what people think the real gaps and needs here are.

Community response:  There’s a ton of opportunity here. I sold a few NFTs recently and was frustrated by the UX Things I found hard: – Verification process is convoluted – Can’t mint more than one NFT to start – Payouts to other collaborators is hard – Net earnings is hard to determine.

Only if you’re going to disrupt and add value or new capabilities. There’s options today for swapping + ETH like swap.kiwi, nfttrader, sudoswap and some others. Find a way to add better liquidity for NFTs.  This could be a value add.

Build tooling for limit orders and also automated LP vaults before doing random NFT stuff please.

UNI governance token.  Use v3 NFT position as collateral. play2earn game.

The current state of NFTs is hyper-speculative JPEGs. You will lose a lot of credibility when the market for them crashes. Would wait till their use case is more developed.

Don’t think there is a huge need in swapping jpegs but would love to see an integrated, Uniswap powered solution in the exchange system / marketplace in every upcoming NFT game.

Seeing how OpenSea has a virtual monopoly, would be prudent to build a competitor with lower fees. Shouldn’t be hard when they’re charged 2.5% Their competitive advantage is their API, many other services depend on them for data because it’s easier then going directly to the blockchain.

I’m sure Uniswap could develop and even better API with a much cleaner and user-friendly UI.

I think the future for NFT marketplaces is “storefrontless”: just a contract that manages sell/buy mechanism at specific price within a timeframe and maybe manage auctions. And that’s it. The owner of the this contract should not take part into being the Storefront +

Storefront, I mean the frontend, is an obsolete idea that open the doors for the kind of episode we had on open sea. Community building is already solved by social media platforms like discord and Twitter. The website can easily be solved with a third party website builder like+

There are interesting NFT projects in the audiovisual genre that are not yet well known but present unique value propositions if further defined, especially w/ music rights + royalties.

I’d love to see NFTs traded for each other, token for token vs. token for ethereum. The way we traded cards as kids. A new spin on the DEX if you will.  Does that already exist?

NFTs are great, but before that you should create Stop Loss Orders or at least let us make ranged orders adding ONLY ETH, when the order is below the spot price, on an ETH/USDC/T pool.

I imagine a way to swap any combination of NFT (+ ERC-20) for chosen combinations of NFTs (+ ERC-20). For instance, I would like to be able to put for sale a punk for either 200ETH, 5 apes and 10ETH, 2 apes + 10 meebits + 5ETH etc.

Hey, stop copying Sushi Swap.  First the name and now the JPEGs. What’s next, stealing the trident?
