What has Apple Google and Facebook got to do with Crypto and NFTs

Udiverse expressed:  Apple, Google, and Facebook are turning into governments.  They control everything on their platforms (IOS/android/oculus) including speech, payments, taxation.  So, an open metaverse can only exist on the web – the only platform that has no dictators.

On the web, unlike anywhere else, we can still distribute content and apps without asking for permission to any device in any jurisdiction it’s pretty amazing when you think about it, Udiverse wonders if people will appreciate.

Not to mention when it comes to digital economies and collectibles, the apple/google/Facebook tax is simply unacceptable. 30% platform tax on all in-app purchases would kill any digital economy web + crypto fixes this.

Anyways when it comes to interactive 3D worlds the web is kinda weak lots of processing needed and web browsers on most devices just don’t have the muscle for real-time rendering of high fidelity graphics with multiple players what do?

Udiverse is very impressed with cloud streaming of video games services like Xbox cloud gaming and stadia and geforce now let you play AAA games on any device by basically streaming the video from a remote cloud-based gaming rig.

It works surprisingly well provided you have good internet connection you can play the most demanding games like e.g., cyberpunk2077 on a cheap mobile phone Udiverse highly recommends you experience it because it’s probably going to shape the future.

And the best thing is that cloud game streaming works in the browser today so you can bypass all of Apple/Google/Facebook’s dictatorship rules then anyone can join these shared worlds regardless of what hardware they use, pretty powerful.

All that said Udiverse thinks that “decentralization maximalists” will have to readjust expectations as clearly much of this will depend on centralized servers doing the heavy lifting however this is in Udiverse’s opinion completely fine and a net positive.

Community response:  I don’t see what crypto has to do with any of this, this is just the internet.

If you look at the booming digital collectible economy you can see how crypto helps digital creators make a living in a way that the current digital dictators refuse to allow it’s ok if you want to call NFTs “just the internet” though, I don’t mind. that’s semantics.

Not everything can be decentralized, so the cloud will probably remain centralized (in the hands of AWS, Azure) but what is built on it can be and should be decentralized eg: Gaming, social media in those areas, we can potentially end the gatekeeping of these giants aka govts.

This can be an opportunity to take down the dictators of the current digital world, would be cool if we managed to not screw it up have a great week everyone good morning.

The same as with Bitcoin, the ones who invested the earliest will own the biggest infrastructure and will be too big to fail (like banks now) There will never be a fair repartition of resources and there always will be dictators of some sort.

Let’s focus on winning the war to take the power of money away from the state before we focus on measly tech companies. I’ll worry when Google creates an army.

Can you really blame him? He’s doing a better job than most prime ministers. How is it that then, we are holding him up to standards of elected officials? Let’s take it further. Zuckerberg for Earth.
