Electric Coin Company recently tweeted:  A successful transition to Proof of Stake would necessarily require support from ZCash ZEC users, a legit governance process, and a well-designed technical migration process.

Community Attitude:  I am in favor of POS as long as engineers/experts think it will be attack-resistant enough. My thinking is that to survive long-term (be future-proof), Zcash needs to survive from a network security standpoint and withstand societal pressure re climate.

Seriously if after holding through the high inflation and founders’ reward, you’re telling me that there is a chance that the Zcash issuance rate may be changed.  I lose any hope in you. You said 1000 times that it wouldn’t be changed on the forum.

I am fairly confident that switching to PoS would not require altering the Zcash issuance rate or 21M cap.

ZCash should be rebranded as a “security” coin. Security is achieved through privacy. The true purpose of privacy is security. Privacy has lost its meaning in today’s world. Security is easier to explain. Security is also important, no matter the culture.

The main problem with cryptocurrencies is security, which is just one of the indicators here in ZEC, and there are many indicators that are excellent.  You can’t have privacy without security, and it’s much more easily branded to the masses who too often associate privacy with “what are you trying to hide.”

I hope that ETH issuance x block will be greatly increased during the next PoS era. I think that a reward for devs and the ecosystem as is for ZCash is a good idea.
