Collapsing Currencies and Bitcoin (BTC)

Michael Saylor expressed:  The problem is clear to see, and getting worse. It is also not isolated to Turkey (see Argentina et al.). The best solution available to corporations, families, & individuals in economies with collapsing currencies is Bitcoin.

Community Reaction:  I think you are very intelligent, make a lot of sense and express your support of Bitcoin quite lucidly. How would you respond to those who say going the Bitcoin route takes away a key tool in dealing with economic challenges. And they allege that in some cases.

Who is saying the Bitcoin route takes away a key tool in dealing with economic challenges?

Farhad:  It really seems to me that economists, at least traditional ones, would say that. Because it Is a way that they deal with depression. Depression doesn’t only have to do with inflation or deflation but obviously deals with the economy in a more broad way. With Bitcoin can’t do that

Government control of money only hurts the economy. The incentive for politicians and citizens is to borrow value from future generations and spend the money now, and they label these as “tools” to help stabilize the economy when in fact it destabilizes the economy.

Brant Tremont:  I don’t think you understand how the world works. You don’t have the right to point a gun at someone to steal from them and give to others, even for the sake of “saving the poor.” I want to save the poor too. The difference is I understand how to do it, and you don’t.

Farhad:  It’s not pointing a gun. There are things called charity and also taxes. Taxes can be used and have been used and are perfectly legal and necessary. I don’t think you understand morality or about the lives of innocent people dying and suffering with no food to eat or ill.

Brant Tremont:  As far as taxes, legality =/= morality. The government IS pointing a gun in order to collect taxes, its theft. The money is then wasted and given by politicians to those who have the closest relationship to the politicians. Every government program is a failed program.

Farhad:  Name a single (national/very powerful) government on earth or in history that has not collected taxes?

Brant Tremont:  Income tax is a tax on productive value added to society: you are being punished for being a productive citizen. Sales tax is a tax on consumption (wealthier people consume more). Sales tax discourages consumption and incentivizes fiscal responsibility
