El Salvador or Ireland Who's Going to Win the Digital Era with Bitcoin (BTC)

Peter Schiff Shared: Ireland Adds Gold to Reserves as Inflation Worries Increase Schiff Gold.

Community Response:  What percentage of existing holdings is 2t?

Gold alone won’t solve the problem. Bitcoin is the answer.

Bitcoin is future.  Gold has unlimited supply and it doesn’t produce income by holding. It’s the worst investment one can make.

Gold is not an investment its insurance. Investment would be gold miners and they are very cheap right now

Hard To know what to expect with the 4th industrial revolution on the doorstep.  Likely FED will be stuck in a corner where rates are at near 0.

So, likely come Jan Feb they will go negative as they have no other option. What would gold do then? I assume the floodgates will open?

El Salvador or Ireland. Who’s going to win the digital era? Again, this is a nominal amount in the grand scheme of gold as an asset class.  Need to see much larger order flow.

Poor move by my country, but not surprising as most at the top are incompetent. Buying Bitcoin and making it legal is a much safer move in the long term.

Good move for trusting a multi trillion asset that does not lose 25% of its value over night.  Calling it Wycoff behaviour or manipulation by whales.

No one cares, not even the price.  There’s a disproportionate amount of reporting on Twitter on the impact of small EU nations (Ireland, Belgium, Austria) doing certain things like buying gold or imposing Covid restrictions. These 3 countries have a combined population of less than 25M – no impact – literally.

Where is that so called “gold”? Has anyone ever seen gold? Is that really gold? It’s all the same just like bitcoin, it’s here but you don’t see it

If Ireland is buying, I will be selling.  Just wait until the United Stated, Britain and the IMF decides to steal their gold! Nations can’t steal Bitcoin.

Digital currency is easier moved than 2 tonnes of gold, but what if there was ever a digital outage and you have no access to funds?

Going to bring back the Irish pound?  The pound was never Irish. It was forced on us by the Brits.

We are a highly indebted Country.  I wouldn’t be holding us up as a bastion of amazing financial decisions.

Schiff: More demand for gold. Market: Miners don’t produce more gold please. We have enough supply. Miners?

This reminds me of Sears laughing at Amazon for being an internet company with no “tangible assets”. Where is Sears now?

I know of a few gold bullion retailers that will happily take bitcoin off me in exchange for gold but not the other way around. Why would that be? I hold gold and Bitcoin, but gold retailers do seem very keen on getting their hands on Bitcoin.

They might as well keep their money in $, because in 10 years the gold value hasn’t saved anyone’s money from inflation.

You are dead right. But I wonder if this will now change. This is the first real inflation the west has seen for decades. Time will tell.

I am 100% with you on gold as a real currency. I have been stacking silver and very limited amounts of gold because I am a blue-collar worker, who also happens to be the sole provider for my family. My? to you is how do you feel about investing in Gold Backs? Or fractional gold?

Everyone’s buying gold but the gold price doesn’t move. Why? Is it because the futures market is flooded with paper gold? And if so, will this ever change? I think this is the reason it’s so unloved. It doesn’t seem to have true price discovery.

For every $1 million in gold they purchased, I bet they also purchased $10 million in U.S. Dollar denominated Treasury Bonds, which is the ultimate safe haven for Central Banks.
