Digibyte (DGB) Community Donating to Barry in Fundraiser to Get Digibyte V8 over Finishing Line

Follow the Digibyte path. It will lead you to the future. On the other side of that portal lies the year 2035. In the year where all of our IoT devices are connected to the blockchain, 95% of the world has achieved financial sovereignty, and we own our data.

Josiah Spackman previously expressed:  Here’s an update about work being done on ProgPoW & RandomX for Digibyte v8. What’s been done, what’s still pending, and I hope you’ll join me in a bit of a donation for Barry Style so he can take some time to get DGB v8 over the line for us all.

I’ve started it off with $150 in DGB (3500); I hope you’ll also get behind this initiative any amount, big or small, I’m sure will be appreciated.

Community response:  I don’t know what’s minimum to donate, but I try my best.  I know 120 DGB that is very small to the big project V8. Sorry about that; I hope my DGB donation can help your work.

Recently, Josiah expressed:  Many thanks to all those who’ve donated (Or mined to it) in the first 12hrs, we’ve raised USD 1200, but we still need to keep going. I’m sure every DGB will be gratefully received, and I know you all want to see progress on the Core DigiByte.

For those who are not sure of what is happening:  Early in 2021, it became clear that DigiByte needs to do more in developing better than in the past.  There is a need for more accountability and transparency. This does not mean that previous methods are showing up with problems.  DigiByte has done well for itself over the past seven years; however, this is an opportunity further to improve the decentralization and trustless nature of the blockchain, thus adopting some industry best practices to spearhead DigiByte into the future further.

Through any development, the developers are focused on ensuring that DigiByte remained “DigiByte.”

For now, developers need to finish off DigiByte v8 based on 0.21.  The sooner, the better.  This is done to address the supply curve. Further, the block-reward subsidy drops from 84 DigiByte to 1 DigiByte in 2035.

This is a pretty sharp drop that will be worse than any halving event, and after that, it will carry on with an infinite supply, which is also not good.

This needs to be done ASAP because the longer we kick the can down the road, the more complex the adjustments will have to be, and we can avoid that by being prudent with our time.

Those who are willing to know in detail about the process should check: Let’s talk about DigiByte v8 + fundraiser.
