Digibyte (DGB) expressed: Alright, everyone, I just made pull requests to both the Digibyte core protocol code and the iOS & Android code to fix people’s issues with syncing light wallets. Basically, we need updated seed nodes.
For clarity, Light Wallets connect to a server, which has a synchronized node. That’s why they enable users to get to work immediately.
A seed node is a special node that permits the incorporation of new nodes to the network and maintains the strength of the network at all times by permitting them to synchronize and obtain a copy of the data from the blockchain, replicating adding resistance and security to it.
Running a DGB core seed node is simple. You need a URL (ex: http://seed.digibyte.io) & the latest DGB node running 24/7. It’s also helpful to add “maxconnections=800” or any higher number to allow more than 8 peers at a time in the digibyte.conf file.
Keep in mind some of these URL seeds have been up for 7 years, so this is a long-term commitment, as we don’t want to hard code anything that won’t be around in 6 months. We have enough now, but the more, the merrier.
Otherwise, it is worth reinstating how the DigiByte team, hard at work, has been making concepts like the Digibyte Coin, Digi-ID, authentication systems, tokenized assets even better, particularly when it comes to application in Defi.
The developers and people who are backing the project are proactive, and they think ahead of time. They have reinstated on the digital identification process and how it is important to make it possible for users to effortlessly sign in to websites, apps, e-mails, and IOTs. They have been addressing concerns and concepts about hacks.
There are many things to be understood about a project before hasty decisions are taken about it. It is important to pay attention to what they are actually building. Incredible technologies always become powerful with time.
Rudy Bouwman expressed: “It’s simple. If you don’t trust a project or the people behind the project, then just don’t invest in it. Nothing to complain about.”
Community response: It’s also fair to ask questions of a project that’s been around for 8yrs, and the price is still at under 5 cents or so and no liquidity. Why?
Trusted the founder and the team and bought DGB for .00001050 sats in 2017. Now, it’s.00000140 sats. Lost huge amount and still holding.
I trust decentralization only if you identify it as such.
