Decentraland has now taken the Fashion week from the real world to the virtual world. The event began on March 24, 2022. The event is set to be a four-day series of shows, panel talks and shopping opportunities – even ‘after-parties’. Reportedly, the way the event is organized a fully immersive experience is guaranteed for participants.
To set the trend, several brands were invited to the “First Metaverse Fashion Week.” The event focuses on “creating fashion outside the confines of reality.” Those who were not able to participate in the event were definitely missing out on the fun. Participation is seen from several major fashion brands like DKNY, Estee Lauder, and several others. Several well-known fashion designers are also participating.

1. Delivery of real-physical-goods and Associated NFTS: Well-established fashion brands and emerging brands put up their stalls in the virtual fashion show. The good news is that users will be able to have real-physical-goods delivered even if they choose from the virtual objects. The physical object will be associated with an NFT of the particular store.
Selfridges, British Departmental Store showcased their NFTs, which featured artistic works and digital renditions of ‘young Rabanne’s first 12 ‘Unwearable’ dresses from 1966.
2. Ability to Buy Digital Wearables From Different Designers:

– Lanvin, and Chanel, two well-known French fashion houses, which showcased digital movies.
3. Musical Performance in the Fashion Week Metaverse: Grimes, Canadian music star to collaborate with Auroboros for a musical performance feature.
4. Hosting of Virtual Party and Fashion Shows: Hogan, an Italian fashion designer, to host special virtual ‘after party’ called ‘Hogan-X’ featuring international artists like Republiqe and Monnier Paris, who will be further collaborating for a special store of wearable outfits.
