OmiseGo OMG Balancing Innovation and Regulation with Fair Updates

Omise Go OMG

OmiseGo has been enabling people to be able to securely access financial services, where they can invest, exchange, and spend their digital assets anytime.

The latest but bygone event at Omisego is concerning Ropsten.  Around March 13, 2020 it was announced that the OMG network V1 testnet that has been deployed stopped producing blocks.  They stated that during this period the testnet might be interrupted.  They were monitoring the situation and facilitated updates as per the then developments.

There were a total of 3 updates.  During the first update, it was stated that “the OMG Network V1 Testnet, blocks 16,000 and 17,000 have been submitted, but not mined on Ropsten. The child chain will try to resubmit those blocks, once the Ropsten returns to normal block production.”

The second update read thus:  “Ropsten still isn’t ‘stable’ but due to our resilience algorithm blocks 16,000 and 17,000 are mined. We’re confident that the child chain will recover as Ropsten does. We’ll monitor the situation and give you an update.”

When the final update was done the blockchain was back in to business.  And the blocks 16,000 and 17,000 were submitted.  The deposits, transfers and exits were completely functional.

Following the updates the contact address changed; however, the APIs and the API end-points did not change.

OmiseGo OMG React Starter Kit

The Omisego (OMG) network have been lately talking about the react-starter-kit and they have been telling that it performs more than the previous version and therefore more to do with OMG-js.”

Early this month, OmiseGo released a Web Wallet that they state can be used for transactions on the test net without having to write a single line of code. However, they stated that the wallet requires the metamask for the launch.

Sydney Ifergan, the Crypto Expert tweeted:  “Vansa Chatikavanij, CEO at OmiseGo previously stated, the only thing in my mind is Omiseo. Good for OMG to have a committed CEO facilitating undivided attention.”

OmiseGo OMG Public Testnet OKG

The newest public testnet OMG Network V1 has been the point of excitement, trials and testing in the network since the beginning of March.  A milestone development though. They are progressing.  They are working on DeFi Landscape and its future.

The OmiseGo team are actively strategizing, aligning, and preparing for implementing their different products. They are working to provide a fast, fair, secure and unstoppable financial infrastructure. They are trying to get the best leverage out of the power of their plasma architecture. They are doing all it takes to balance innovation and regulation.
