A bridge in the crypto world is like a bridge in the physical world. They connect two distinct locations or communities so that traffic and resources can go back and forth freely.

A blockchain bridge provides a connection that allows for the transfer of tokens or data between two different blockchain ecosystems. When the token leaves one blockchain, it is burned or locked, and an equivalent token is minted on the opposite blockchain.

Technically, Wormhole is a generic message passing protocol that connects to multiple chains including Ethereum, Solana, Terra and Binance Smart Chain.

Currently there two features built on top of the generic message passing protocol including:

A token bridge which allows users to seamlessly bridge wrapped assets between supported chains.  An NFT bridge that allows ERC721 and SPL NFTs to be transferred between Ethereum and Solana.

Wormhole NFT bridge allows users to send their NFT cross chain to Ethereum or Solana. At present, the Wormhole NFT bridge current supports ERC-721 (with metadata) and SPL assets.

However, they are looking to expand NFT support even further to enable cross-chain transfers of ERC-1155 assets as well.

To kick start, you will need some ETH and SOL in your wallet in order to fund the transfers.

Certain Sollet wrapped assets and Wormhole V1 assets are eligible for migration to V2 assets.

During the token transfer process, if a user navigates away from send token/NFT window or the transaction does not complete, the user will need to perform Redeem workflow.

Community response: The error messages are unreadable. When I try to redeem on terra I get a message which flashes on the screen, but I can’t read it??

The only stable coin that the world needs.  Not complaining but the Binance Wallet for BSC isn’t detected by wormhole. Could you please fix that.
