Improvements featured in DIP-3 will give our ducky NFTs new powers, also increasing their rarity. Ducks are unique and valuable NFTs in the Waves Ecosystem. Every character in the game is unique.  Thus, they are broadening the ducks’ functionality and eventually limiting the reproduction of each gene.

While the Waves Ducks game chugs along, there are more of new-generation ducks arriving. However, users need to know that “each duck is a valuable and unique NFT.”

This Duck Improvement Proposal (DIP) is supposed to increase the value of 7,400 characters, which are currently in the game.

In the very beginning at the beginning of the game, two types of genesis ducks were available.  They were Elon (gene A) and Satoshi (gene B). These genesis ducks were produced by the incubator with equal probability and were obtained by the early players in large numbers.

At present, there are 5 types of genesis ducks are available.  They have genes A, B, C, D and E.  The probability of producing each of these ducks in the incubator is 20%.  Thus, the inflow of new genes to the game is slow and the chance of getting a unique Elon or Satoshi is rare and therefore significant. 

Thus creating the negative perception about the game by players who have got unwanted ducks. Thus, the value of genesis ducks will get diluted with the passing of time with more ducks coming in with different genetic combinations. 

The DIP – Duck Improvement Proposal focuses on limiting the number of genesis duck types which are available in the incubator at any given moment to 4.

Thus, “when a new type is added, the oldest type will be removed. In practice, this means that the addition of the next genesis duck (gene F) will lead to the removal of Elon and Satoshi (A and B), the oldest types.

Subsequently, the arrival of gene G will result in removing Doge (gene C), keeping exactly 4 available types at any time.”

Therefore, each gene in the game will be limited, eventually raising the value of genesis ducks. Players who breed ducks after the release of gene F will not be able to obtain gene A or B in the incubator and will have to use an auction.
