SiaCoin (SC) will be Very Soon Put to Work in DeFi per David Vorick

SiaCoin Defi
  • DeFi coming for SiaCoin (SC) Network soon
  • NFTs and JPEGs with no resale value transacting in billions
  • David Vorick Rants about Privacy Issues
  • Community Response about Internet privacy

David Vorick expressed:  “We will be announcing a new technology for DeFi, only possible on Skynet.”

The Skynet community is excited about this announcement.  They feel this is yet another win for Skynet, the team, and the larger community. And, those who own Siacoin will be able to put it to work.

Commenting about NFTs, David Vorick, Skynet Lead Developer, stated, “Buying jpegs with no option ever to sell or even transfer is already a billion-dollar market in the traditional world. The biggest example is Genshin Impact.”

For clarity:  Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS in September 2020, PlayStation 5 in April 2021, and is planned for release on Nintendo Switch.

David Vorick Rants on Privacy Concerns:

Talking about the quality of the Internet today, David Vorick expressed, Freedom of speech means Freedom for consenting individuals to congregate and discuss any topic. Censorship on platforms like Facebook and Twitter crosses a line if there are no reasonable alternatives. When three corporations control 90% of the web, concern has merit.

I’m scared to click on links because I know the trackers are following me around – young people spend 8+ hours a day on the Internet. Imagine a camera in every room of your house, owned by Google, including the bedrooms and bathrooms. That’s the Internet today.”

Users were curious about Privacy, and they requested something from David Vorick:  We can Google it. But along with posts like this, if you could add an extra tweet about how you protect your own privacy/anonymity on the Internet would be nice. It helps to know what talented devs who know their talent would consider best practices.

In response, David stated, the problem is that you really can’t. The only way to protect your Privacy on the Internet is more or less to opt-out altogether. The point of tweets like this is to motivate people towards a bigger change. If we want to win back the Internet, it’s going to be a fight.

However, further, he was trying to propose a concept:  Wouldn’t it be great if you could be confident that your phone’s camera was off because the software was open source and owned by you? How is it legal that 95% of America holds a device that most don’t realize continually sends their current physical location to a corporation?

While David Vorick’s statement made Privacy look doomed forever, one of the community members stated:  Brave browser, VPN, and ProtonMail stopped many of the tracking issues/concerns I have with Google.
