The DevPost has got a participant’s section where it will be possible to find teammates, and the users will be able to further introduce themselves. There are no limits imposed on the team size. The event does not accept work, which has been started prior to the official start date of the Hackathon. It is not possible to use the work of someone that is competing. The judgment will be provided only for work which has gotten done during the Hackathon. Those who make use of the work done before the Hackathon will be disqualified.

Users are encouraged to make use of pre-existing open source tools and libraries. It is okay to ask for guidance from someone who is not a team. There are different prize categories and the participants are encouraged to make their submissions in all the prize categories. While it is okay for the teams to form ideas before the Hackathon, the hacks, codes and prototypes should be built during the period of Hackathon. There is a presentation file which should be submitted to the judges to help explain the project.
