Cosmos the internet of Blockchains provides for an open scalable and interconnected economy of the future.

The HackAtom V Schedule per the cosmos blog is as follows:  “Application open: Sept 2nd, 2020 @ 8am PST; HackAtom officially begins: Friday Oct 16th @ 12pm PST; Deadline for submissions: Friday Oct 30th @ 12pm PST; Winners announced: Friday Nov 6th @ 12pm PST.”

The DevPost has got a participant’s section where it will be possible to find teammates, and the users will be able to further introduce themselves. There are no limits imposed on the team size. The event does not accept work, which has been started prior to the official start date of the Hackathon. It is not possible to use the work of someone that is competing. The judgment will be provided only for work which has gotten done during the Hackathon. Those who make use of the work done before the Hackathon will be disqualified.

Users are encouraged to make use of pre-existing open source tools and libraries. It is okay to ask for guidance from someone who is not a team. There are different prize categories and the participants are encouraged to make their submissions in all the prize categories. While it is okay for the teams to form ideas before the Hackathon, the hacks, codes and prototypes should be built during the period of Hackathon. There is a presentation file which should be submitted to the judges to help explain the project.

The different categories of events are Gringotts award, Wormhole award, Galileo award, Gaia award, and Community Choice Award. Resources, tutorials and workshops are provided.

Cosmos (ATOM) on Interoperability

A lot of work has been done in developing the Peggy Bridge to provide for interoperability between Ethereum and Cosmos. The foundations laid for Peggy is believed to provide support to further work on several other decentralized internet networks.

The Peggy Bridge does a lot of things ranging from locking and unlocking funds from Ethereum, present data about the happenings on Ethereum to Cosmos Zone and vice versa through relayers. Determining the state of funds on Ethereum using relayers. There are different parts of Peggy progressing with varying levels of trust. It is well known that the overall trusting and trustless nature of the bridge depends upon its weakest link.
