Ethereum (ETH) Scaling Parallels and Opinions

Vitalik opines that control is a liability.  Vitalik recently gave a quick recap of short and medium term details of Ethereum Scaling.

TLDR provides for Ultra-high scaling with sharding + rollups, which is set to be made possible in phase 1.  Sharding is NOT cancelled.

Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted:  “Ethereum (ETH) are getting lot of feedbacks and reviews about how they are trying to scale.

Will Harborne, CEO @ Diversify opined, TLDR; scaling blockchains is hard, and if you are a builder on Ethereum don't hope that moving to Layer 2 is instantly going to solve your…

Someone responding to Will Harbone felt that it looks like someone is using reason. Also, thanked them for bringing these perspectives.

Will Harborne when talking about scaling, stated, if someone is telling you that 'their' scaling solution is superior in every way, they are likely either pumping their bags or…

Every blockchain scaling solution has a different set of trade-offs, and as a result has certain advantages AND disadvantages.

Further stated, that it is not possible to optimize for every desirable parameter without giving up on something else.

He also recalled how at Diversify, they chose Validium as they thought that it had an optimal set of trade-offs for an exchange.

Harborne also stated that Layer 2 scaling is still entirely in its infancy. He pointed to how the first challenge for DeversiFi is for making the technical jump to use the…

The next set of challenges, which is getting tackled are equally complicated but don't become obvious until you're actually facing them.
