The first step towards {REDACTED} is now complete. Terra is really establishing the foundation to create the gold standard for stablecoins.

Terra (UST) Powered by Luna expressed:  LFG is a non-profit organization mandated to build reserves supporting the UST peg amid volatile market conditions and allocate resources supporting the growth and development of the Terra ecosystem.

Initial target areas for LFG include driving awareness of blockchain technology, building out educational programs, allocating grants funding product development, & providing transparency to online communities about ongoing activities & projects.

The LFG will prioritize DeFi projects that pioneer the emergence of decentralized money at the base layer of an emerging DeFi technology stack. Of particular interest is the peg stability & sustainability of Terra’s flagship stablecoin – TerraUSD ($UST).

The LFG is governed independently by an international Council of industry leaders and experts, and will eventually expand to include more members sourced from the Terra ecosystem and beyond.

 Initial Council members include: Do Kwon, Nicholas Platias, Kanav Kariya, Remi Tetot – El Lunatico, Jonathan Caras, Jose Maria Macedo.

To bootstrap its bold mandate, the LG will be capitalized with a 50 million LUNA gift from TFL. The transaction hash will be provided publicly once executed in the coming days for transparency.

Reshaping the perception of the potential and sustainability of decentralized money is an exacting task, and the formation of the LFG is a major step forward for the future R&D, product development, and future adoption of algorithmic stable coins.
