Dfinity Foundation, introducing the Motoko Playground, An IDE for developers to learn Motoko – the native language for the Internet Computer blockchain.
Now it is possible to deploy Canister smart contracts directly within a browser without needing to download an SDK or set up a wallet.
Since developers don’t need to set up their own development environment, this whole in-browser experience enables anyone to explore and learn Motoko while experimenting with programming on the Internet Computer from anywhere.
The best part is that Motoko Playground will be open source. The Motoko Playground permits users to build and deploy Canister smart contracts without having to download the Dfinity Canister SDK or set up a wallet. Thus, developers need not have their development environment, as it gets deployed within the browser.
Thus, the full in-browser experience makes it possible for anyone to explore and learn Mokoto when they experiment with the program on the internet computer from anywhere.
The Motoko playground is a Dapp. And, you will be able to choose the project that you will want to work with.
Dominic Williams: Announced Internet Computer “Mainnet” and a 20-year Roadmap on January 06, 2021. It is a 67 minutes reading time document available on Medium.
About the 67 minutes, Dominic stated, Medium is a bit crazy; it’s not 67 mins, but If you’re into cutting-edge crypto, then take a read and tell me what you think. This is the product of the biggest R&D effort in the industry.
Community response: Huge moves from Dfinity man; these coins will be made good in the long run. Better to call it a vision rather than a roadmap.
Someone worried was like, “You are still number one with the dump, dump, dump every time on the red list. Damn coin.”
’20-year Roadmap!’ yeah, we believe you on this! 20 years roadmap is just 5% of the article at the bottom. It describes no plan, just predictions. Dominic replied to this response and stated, “That’s ok. A roadmap describes where we are trying to get to. Very possible that we’ll get a flat tire on the way.”
Games + crypto + NFT = Chain games.
I’m finding many good projects giving a lot of info, but no showcase. For instance, is your Dfinity.org running on ICP? I would like to see things like: here’s a JavaScript website, here’s one running node.js, and so on.
20 years roadmap? What a joke! The internet updated day by day, year by year. I’m sure the roadmap for 20th year is different in 2040
