What Is the TCA Community Trust Index?
The TCA Community Trust Index is a real-time transparency dashboard that measures the credibility of crypto news articles through community voting. Every article published on The Currency Analytics can be rated as "Real" or "Fake" by readers, and these votes are aggregated into a trust score ranging from 0 to 100.
How Does the Trust Scoring System Work?
The trust score is calculated from the ratio of "Real" votes to total votes cast on each article. A score of 90 or above indicates High Confidence, 75–89 means Trusted, 50–74 reflects Mixed Signals, and below 50 signals Low Confidence. The system uses browser fingerprinting, honeypot fields, and atomic vote locking to prevent manipulation and ensure data integrity.
Why a Trust Index for Crypto News?
The cryptocurrency industry frequently faces misinformation, unverified rumors, and sensationalized headlines. The TCA Community Trust Index empowers readers to collectively flag reliable content and distinguish verified reporting from media noise. It is a unique editorial transparency tool in the blockchain and decentralized finance space, helping investors and enthusiasts make informed decisions based on community-validated information.
Dashboard Data & Metrics
This dashboard displays four key metrics — total community votes, articles rated, weekly voting activity, and average votes per article — along with a ranked list of the highest-trust articles with real-time SVG score badges, and a category-level breakdown (Bitcoin, Altcoins, Blockchain, Regulations, Financial Markets) showing where community trust is strongest. All data updates live as new votes are submitted.
