Floki Inu is grabbing the headlines once again and for all great reasons. Launched with the slogan “people’s cryptocurrency”, the fast-rising crypto platform promised to invest largely in charitable initiatives, including building of schools in underdeveloped nations.   Staying true to its promise, the cryptocurrency platform recently came to news for its school-building endeavor in Ghana in collaboration with Pencils for Promise.  And now, Floki Inu is furthering the commitment with a new set of school building campaigns in Nigeria,  Laos, as well as Guatemala.

Modernized school in Nigeria

Floki Inu has announced plans to build the most state-of-the-art schools to ensure the most advanced academic environment for the students. In Nigeria, the crypto platform is building a school in Kuchiko Ija community which is located in Niger State. It will be a fully-equipped school, housing 6 classroom blocks, library, and modernized computer library. It will be a fully furnished complex, completely fenced, and with a gate house. Floki Inu has collaborated with top non-profit organization Tabitha Cumi Foundation for its school building initiative for Nigeria.

A 2018 research study has revealed that Nigeria requires around 146,000 classrooms to accommodate all school-aged children for at least the primary education. Unfortunately, the present number of schools in the country is much lower, around 81,000, and around 65,000 classrooms need to be built. Floki Inu, aims to address the gap as much as possible through its school building initiatives. 

As per the estimates, Floki’s school in Nigeria will be able to provide education to 450 kids, many of whom currently lack access to primary education. And together with Floki’s schools in Guatemala and Laos, the upcoming schools will be able to educate around thousands of young students – a lot of whom would have otherwise never been able attain access towards education.

Floki Inu is an ardent champion of the right to education as a fundamental human right and believes every child should be given easy access to quality education. Unfortunately, a massive number of kids in a lot of countries are deprived of that basic human right. While Nigeria’s statistics on schools is saddening, Ghana too poses an equally heart-breaking picture. In Ghana, around 17% of children of primary school category aren’t admitted in schools. And among those who have been enrolled, around 28% tend to drop out prior to completing the primary section. Put simply, over 14% of the Ghana populace is illiterate.

A change-maker since its inception, Floki Inu aims to bring change in the educational sector in the underdeveloped countries in every continent. In that light, the crypto platform has teamed up with leading forward-thinking non-profit organizations like Tabitha Cumi Foundation and Pencils of Promise to address this grave crisis and bridge the ghastly unequal gap in education.
