Staking Ethereum is a great way to earn rewards in the Long Term. Investment of any kind comes with risks and there are probable technical and volatility issues which one might have to meet with.

Staking helps “Network Security” and there is an expectation that stakers will be able to earn a lot when there is growth for the network. The “buy and hold” investors will benefit from staking.  However, for those one or two ETH is a significant amount and if they can become upset on losing it, then staking is not a great idea for investors with such investment mindset/strength.

Staking large enough amounts of Ethereum for very long time might not be worth the risk. However, those who have a “large stake” big enough to bring in some gains, it will be worth all the risk. Those who are willing to “dare staking” better do it with a substantial number of ETH to see some worthy return – the risk is still there though.

And those who are staking should be okay with not being able to assess the asset for a substantial amount of time. And within the time, the risk is that Ethereum might lose market dominance.  Staking feels good for as long as the network has market dominance.

Market dominance is a measure of the strength of a brand, product, service, or firm, relative to competitive offerings, exemplified by controlling a large proportion of the power in a particular market.

Market dominance is important because such a network will have control over its competitors. Also, dominance is a good thing as the network will enjoy reasonable value among investors.

Whether Ethereum will be able to maintain or increase its market position?

There are lot of Ethereum Killers popping up and some have been trying to flip into the network’s dominance.

Will all of these killer networks become powerful to dominate Ethereum Network by their combined effort?

Relative Market size is an indicator of dominance.  However, a high market cap need not in all cases mean that the company is dominant.  It is important to take into consideration the network competitors and their position in the market.  Also, consideration to how the market shares have evolved over time and how it has gotten diluted over time will provide an answer.

Will networks decide to collaborate than to compete with each other? Perhaps interoperability will become the norm in the forth coming days. It can become more like contributing to overall sustainability and bigger good.
