ChainLink recently expressed that they were thrilled about their acquisition of DECO, enabling Chainlink to provide for more of high quality data on-chain, by combining ZKProofs with HTTPS/TLS to prove where data came from, and even verify the data itself, while maintaining privacy.
Of note, DECO is an improvement on how to utilize HTTPS/TLS for data transmission across the internet, developed by Dr. Ari Juels, the former Chief Scientist of RSA, one of the world’s largest security companies.
Sergey Nazarov, Co-founder of Chainlink stated, “DECO’s ability to provide previously unavailable data security when transferring data over the internet, will greatly increase the private and premium data that becomes available for use by all Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 applications.”
ChainLink Official Channel tweeted: “We’re excited to announce that @arijuels, Chainlink technical advisor, co-director of @initc3org and the former Chief Scientist of RSA, is now joining Chainlink Labs as its Chief Scientist, overseeing extensive research on smart contracts, oracles and more.”
Further, Privacy-enabled decentralized cloud @OasisLabs were integrating with Chainlink as their preferred oracle provider to power DeFi dApps triggered by reliable, tamperproof off-chain data. The initial focus was on integrating Chainlink’s widely used Price Reference Data.
Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted: “ChainLink (Link) are continuing with their mission of building an economically fair world for everyone, thus contributing to economic fairness, transparency and efficiency.”
