Dogecoin (DOGE) Now Sent Through Radio Signals on Starlink

Dogecoin got many people in to crypto.  Believers think that Dogecoin may be accepted and used by Twitter soon and in smart contracts.

Laikatoshi:  Rumor has it, Twitter will start charging a fee for embedding tweets in articles and publication, effectively monetizing tweets. This looks like it will be done via blockchain, Dogecoin seems to be the target for these new smart contracts.

Whether this will happen or not is for Elon Musk to continue.  However, if something like this happens, it will be huge for Dogecoin and Twitter.

The price of Doge spiked due to the tensions of “wanting to buy” Twitter. Many Doge buyers came in to the game due to the tweets from Elon Musk.

On the technical side, on April 24, 2022:  Dogecoin developers have sent the first Doge transaction without internet via radio transmission with help from Elon Musk’s Starlink.  This Dogecoin transaction happened without access to internet.

Dogecoin developer Michi Lumin tweeted about a Dogecoin transaction he sent via radio using a protocol called “Radio Doge.” The Radio Doge will be very useful for people with no access to Internet to still be able to access and also transact using Dogecoin. This is Good news. And it makes it appear that Doge is the future of day-to-day transactions.

Criticisms:  Too bad they need Elon help to do anything.  Unlike other tokens that already know what they are doing. I’d never want to be a part of a coin that’s dependant on the success of a multi billionaire like Elon.

Counter Statement to Criticism:  This is backwards thinking. Your betting against the richest man in world vs your fav developer of your coin that has yet to accomplish day-to-day transactions.

Isn’t Starlink the internet?  Ultimately it has to go internet to reach miners and all other nodes, but the transaction is made from a device which is not connected to internet which itself is a big deal.

Starlink is a satellite internet service.

Starlink is a SpaceX initiative to create a global Broadband network by using a constellation of low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites. SpaceX , more formally known as Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, is a privately held rocket and spacecraft company founded in 2002 by Elon Musk.

Thus Doge is now a token that can be sent through Radio Signals .

Thus, the internet is not the only way to send or receive coins in crypto.  Radio transmission is also possible. And that’s what Dogecoin developer Michi Lumin did via a protocol called Radio Doge. This will enable those without access to Internet to still make transactions in Dogecoin.
