In summary, meaning to say, Eth 2.0 will be focusing on performance while Ethereum Classic is focusing on security. Another difference is the Eth 2.0 will be PoS. On the other hand, ETC is working as PoW.
Ethereum Classic pointed to how the amount of businesses accepting payments in ETC have surpassed ~900! One small step for ETC, one giant leap for the crypto industry.
Also, More than half of all Ethereum Classic that can exist has already been mined – Liquid Supply: ~127,228,462 – Max Supply: ~210,700,000.

Critics: ETC has a solution from Callisto against 51% attacks, and it took them another two attacks to implement the code. Who wants to be on this chain? Nobody.
It seems irresponsible to continue supporting a project that has been 51% attacked before and will no doubt be attacked again, especially as miners get booted off of eth 2.0.
I hope the price will go up to the moon, but I doubt it, because the market is not good the BTC is going downmarket down. Get new institutional investors; then, I am sure the price will up. When the hash rate is increasing, the price is certainly going up as well. Collaboration is needed in crypto markets to grow and mature further.
ETC will probably get a lot of that mining hash power after eth 2.0 comes out, and ETH moves to 100% proof of stake; it should be interesting.
Believers continue to believe in ETC, and Non-believers have their doubts. For example, I don’t always buy Ethereum, but I buy Ethereum Classic when I do.
ETC will process low-volume and high-value transactions. ETH will process high volume and low-value transactions. Thus, ETC will be layer one. ETH 2.0 will be layer two.
