The IOTA Research Update for September 2020 is published. IOTA have to state that they were able to have their first summit ever since February after the ease of travel restrictions in Europe.
Reportedly, theoretical Coordicide research is nearing its end and they are left with having to just do the last bits of tweaks in the specifications and completing documents about specifications. They will be implementing their specifications in to Nectar, the next version of their testnet. Sharding research is in progress. They are also reorganizing their group structure to better service their current priorities.
Following the research summit, the protocol group have made an extensive plan, thereby covering what still should be done for IOTA 2.0 and also about how to go from the current specification drafts to a final version.
Further updates about Pollen, Mana, Networking, Protocol, and Nectar are set to come in the forth coming weeks.
