Litecoin has a median fee of $0.001, 100 million transactions, and half a trillion moved last year. They are making real magic per community perception.  They are optimistic that they are going to do great in 2022.

The highlights celebrated by the Litecoin community as their accomplishment in 2021 are:

“On 31st December 2021 Litecoin processed its 100 millionth! transaction, with an astonishing 41.3 million transactions in 2021 alone.  More than $585.1 billion was sent via the Litecoin network over the 12-month period (that’s an average of $1.6 billion a day!)

321,000 Litecoin addresses were active on average per day, reaching a peak of 698,672.  Litecoin celebrated its 10th birthday on October 13! 10 years of continuous uptime a milestone for all of crypto.

There were over 5.4 billion engagements across social media, an increase of 103% from 2020. The most active member of the community was ‘MasterBTCLTC’ with 5,000+ twitter posts about Litecoin! Reddit activity increased 348% in 2021, and the Litecoin Foundation’s following on Twitter grew by 53%!

Subscriptions to the Litecoin Foundation’s newsletter saw a 32% increase.  5200+ news articles had Litecoin as subject matter. Litecoin was the 6th most mentioned cryptocurrency on Cointelegraph for the year according to Lunar Crush!

Litecoin accounted for 14.78% of Bitpay’s monthly transactions (for Dec, 2021). Tremendous growth in only a few months after being added.”

Mixed Community Perception: What incredible year. Not a great year for Litecoin. Dead coin. Only happy for number of transactions. Where is digital silver store of value narrative?

Do people have to tell you it’s an SOV? I don’t understand to be honest. Litecoin will do everything you want from money once MWEB launches. If you want to compare it to other crypto in terms of fiat value then go ahead, but to say it’s a dead coin is just wrong.

The same people told me it is 1/4 of bitcoin even better. Narrative changes each year. Mimble Wimble has been in development for the last 3 years. How many dev working on it? Oh, wait are there any devs?

Solana already processed 48B transactions, what 100M compared to that?  Solana already was subject to a DDOS attack and another outage. Not good. Who cares is you can do a billion transactions if it’s a centralized system VISA can already do what we need…when did transaction amount become the end all be all of a crypto?

As long as it can deliver important services that the masses need then that’s all that matters. Tell me what purpose does the LTC network serve? So far, it’s been only used by some individuals to transfer fund or converting coins, on a small scale.

100,000,000 transactions for what? between wallets? Needs new purpose to exist in today’s market.

When people realize that there’s nothing more important for cryptocurrency than security and stability, LTC will become closely as appreciated as BTC.
