The portfolios utilize smart contracts to implement allocation and scheduled rebalancing rules. Users hold a single transferable onchain token that provides economic exposure to a basket of Ondo Stocks. These underlying tokens represent tokenized securities exposure connected to traditional market liquidity. However, Ondo noted that blockchain transferability does not remove the legal, pricing, and redemption mechanics of the represented assets.
Availability remains restricted to eligible users in permitted jurisdictions, specifically excluding the United States. The announcement emphasized that tokens trading around the clock does not mean the underlying stock markets operate around the clock. Holdings can fluctuate, trading may be thin, and a token’s price may diverge from its economic value under stressed conditions.
