In Singapore on December 19, 2025, PLVR was prominently featured during Coinbase’s System Update event, underscoring its role in transforming live entertainment through on-chain infrastructure. This inclusion is significant as it showcases the integration of blockchain technology with traditional and digital payment systems, which could potentially reshape financial transactions in the entertainment industry.

During the event, Sid Coelho Prabhu, Head of Coinbase Business, presented PLVR as a practical application for live entertainment, detailing its collaboration with Coinbase Business and Payment Links. This integration allows for seamless global payments without the typical delays or chargebacks associated with traditional financial systems. As a result, PLVR offers a more cost-effective fee structure compared to standard card-based transactions.

The core of PLVR’s offering is its data and financial infrastructure tailored for the live entertainment sector. One of its flagship solutions, PLVR Ticketing, aims to streamline the ticket purchasing process for consumers. With a simple, no-signup, four-click checkout, users can buy tickets effortlessly. These tickets are minted on Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains such as Base and BNB Chain and delivered to a pre-generated Coinbase Wallet, allowing for secure on-chain ownership while mitigating fraud risks prevalent in conventional ticketing.

Since its debut in April 2025, PLVR has been implemented at a large scale, supporting numerous high-profile music festivals across Asia, including NEON Countdown, the 808 Festival in Thailand, DWP in Indonesia, and Charlotte de Witte 2025 in Singapore. The platform has enabled over 200 live events and facilitated the onboarding of more than 100,000 users. By providing a unified payment solution, PLVR allows event organizers to handle both cryptocurrency and traditional payments in a single, streamlined process.

Beyond ticketing, PLVR facilitates the broader live entertainment lifecycle by integrating more aspects on-chain. A notable feature is its partnership with x402, which supports agentic payment flows, allowing for autonomous transaction interactions while maintaining a user-friendly interface.

Qi Wu, Chief Technology Officer of PLVR, commented on the platform’s mission, stating, “Live entertainment merges culture, audiences, and commerce dynamically. Our aim at PLVR is to furnish the necessary data and financial infrastructure to expand these experiences globally, ensuring simplicity for both fans and organizers. Being featured by Coinbase highlights the value of our approach.”

PLVR’s participation in the Coinbase System Update is part of a larger trend within the industry, moving towards on-chain solutions that facilitate real-world commercial activities. This shift indicates a growing acceptance and implementation of blockchain technologies across various sectors, with live entertainment being a prominent beneficiary.

As the industry continues to evolve, the inclusion of PLVR in such a high-profile showcase by Coinbase signals a potential transformation in how live entertainment events are managed and experienced. By leveraging blockchain, PLVR not only enhances transparency in ticketing but also introduces novel engagement opportunities for fans and artists alike.

Looking forward, the next steps for PLVR involve further integration and adoption within the live entertainment landscape. As the company continues to expand its capabilities and market reach, it will likely face challenges related to competition and regulatory compliance, which are common hurdles in the adoption of blockchain technologies. However, the continued development and refinement of its infrastructure, coupled with strategic partnerships, could significantly contribute to its position in the market.
