Solana is a decentralized computing platform that uses the SOL crypto token to pay for transactions. It aims to improve blockchain scalability by using a combination of proof of stake consensus and what’s referred to as ‘proof of history.’
As of today, the Pyth network is available on the Solana mainnet, thus enabling builders to leverage, for various assets, HiFi price feeds directly sourced from worldwide re-known financial actors.
Indeed, Pyth has been and will continue to onboard some of the biggest traders & exchanges as publishers. As a result, they own data with granularity and quality traditionally guarded by the largest, centralized gatekeepers.
Associated with upcoming wormhole crypto, a bi-directional decentralized bridge between chains, the Pyth network will be able to provide its HiFi first-party data to dApps regardless of their blockchains, starting with Ethereum, Terra_Money, and the Binance Chain.
For clarity, SIG DTI is a company part of Susquehanna International Group of Companies. The latter is one of the largest proprietary trading firms in the world and one of the leading members of the DeFi Alliance.
Solana.com just got a makeover. If you’re building on Solana or looking to join the ecosystem, you have to check out the solana.com/developers for a comprehensive list of guides, tools, and other resources. For a full set of logos and other branding materials, take a peek.
Community response: So, this new web page is mainly made for developers now and not the general public? I can’t find/miss the low-level introduction/overview of Solana technologies that was extremely helpful for me as a non-developer to understand what things make Solana unique.
Thinking of key concepts like PoH, VDF, Sealevel, Turbine, and others. Now I only see either “Solana is ultrafast und -cheap” or the Github for developers. No in-between-level explanations. I’d love it if you could bring them back. Don’t forget about us interested non-devs.
Next year, 2021, will be huge for Solana, the year of SOL. I regretted not investing in it that much on SOL, only a couple of hundreds of bucks. Maybe I will do dollar-cost averaging slowly this year.
Otherwise, Developers were like: If you are launching an NFT project on Solana or Metaplex and you would like 2nd set of eyes on your code, don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help.
PythNetwork is on Mainet-beta, but is it trading anywhere yet? What is the symbol?
