Therefore they have announced Status as their official communication partner for their 7th Annual Hacker Congress – HCPP20, to be held at Paralelni Polis and La Fabrika in Prague from October 2, 2020 through October 4, 2020 – online.

Status have been repeatedly reinstating on the idea of stop trusting companies and start trusting code. They place emphasis on the power of omnipresent data collection and surveillance and on how privacy should be cared about.

Reportedly, Status will be used for: “Event news, announcements and updates in the public channel #hcpp20; General community chat; Collecting questions for AMAs with some of the speakers; Creating new dedicated channels for specific event topics (i.e. cryptoeconomics); Enabling all participants to connect in 1:1 direct messages with a private, secure tool; Organization of event activities such as the HCPP20 sticker design competition (details coming soon);”
Users were asked to Install Status in the Apple App Store, Google Playstore or via APK to join the channel #hcpp20 to stay up to date on all event news and even upcoming AMA’s with some of the speakers.
