Terra’s first step towards building the interface to Web3 is complete. Terra are announcing the launch of Station, an interchain wallet, which simplifies the often-complex process of interacting with multiple blockchain networks.
Station download links and other helpful resources are available online. The links available online provide desktop, Chrome extension, Firefox add-on, web app, and other necessary docs. Station paves the foundation for a multi-chain future — one in which decentralized blockchain economies can align incentives with one another by creating bilateral, mutually beneficial economic agreements. The good thing is that creating a new chain takes mere minutes there.
Further, users and developers across the Cosmos now have access to an interchain wallet, which makes cross-chain experiences seamless and enjoyable.
Deciding on which validator to delegate the stake to on a PoS blockchain can be difficult with so many options. Quick Stake streamlines staking. Users simply select their preferred chain and the amount they desire to stake – Station handles the rest.
Quick Stake optimizes for decentralization, automatically selecting and staking to validators based on specific pre-disclosed criteria, such as voting power and historical performance and a few other criteria.
Station’s user-friendly interface & clear organization of assets make it easy to keep track of assets & make informed decisions. Users can add new tokens, send and receive, or monitor portfolio at a glance using Station’s pop-out sidebar wallet.
The Governance hub allows users to view and vote on proposals for all supported chains in one convenient location, saving users time from needing to switch between interfaces or platforms to stay updated on proposals for different networks.
Station has launched supporting Terra, Osmosis, Juno, Kujira, Carbon, HuaHua, Crescent, Terra Classic, Mars (testnet), and Sei (testnet). The expectation is for many other chains to be added before February.
Chain integration announcements, feature additions, and more of information is expected from Station. After Station adds support for a given chain, developers on that network will need to integrate the Station extension for users to connect to their app using a Station wallet.
Existing users looking to import wallet into Station and new users setting up a Station wallet for the first time will be benefited. All it takes is importing an existing Terra Station or interchain wallet using Keplr and others.
Station reimagines what interchain blockchain experiences should feel like – smooth, simple, and intuitive. Now, users and developers can take advantage of a wallet that allows one to stake, vote, send, and receive assets across chains with ease, abstracting away complexity.
Station will evolve to become the single place to sign all crypto transactions – As new chains and features are added over time, thus becoming the canonical center of interchain transaction execution.
