Tribalism From XRP Advocates Towards Bitcoin Advocates

Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple CEO when talking to the CNBC stated, “Bitcoin Tribalism is Holding the Crypto Industry Back.”

And, this statement was enough to trigger some real tribalism obvious by the exchange of statements between the Bitcoin and XRP Community Members.

Those who are critics of Ripple seem to feel that Ripple is attacking Bitcoin a lot lately.  They were left wondering what were they so afraid of? Bitcoin advocates feel that Ripple are scared of Lightning and Strike.

XRP Supporters:  “The company owns a majority of the 100 billion XRP tokens in circulation, which it periodically releases from an escrow account to keep prices stable.” Get your facts right. Ripple owns ~50 billion XRP and doesn’t sell to keep prices stable.

What Satoshi Said about Bitcoin back in 2009? Satoshi mentioned Ripple in an e-mail: ”Ripple is interesting in that it’s the only other system that does something with trust besides concentrate it into a central server” So what do you say now Bitcoin Maxis.

Someone who did not agree to Satoshi talking about Ripple:  You mean (an alleged) Satoshi mentioned Ripple before it was named Opencoin, which was before it was named Ripple or are you really bad at history.

Proof of Tribalism:  I just witnessed every example of manufactured tribalism in these comments. Have we forgotten that the goal all along was to digitalize the monetary system? 1950-Creditcard introduced. Anti-Crypto statement:  All cryptocurrencies are still highly volatile and speculative. Smart people will not gamble with the that they could lose in the long run.

Bitcoiners do not want to live in a world where we are made to feel guilty for other people’s behaviour and manipulated into accepting woke culture. We are also sick of censorship that targets our way of thinking. It’s very simple.

BTC is nothing more than a mascot for blockchain technology. Fun to watch, but really has no use in the game.

Pro-Crypto Defence:  So where do smart people put their hard-earned dollars so I can examine this strategy and evaluate it against Bitcoin?

Conclusion: Thus, there is no denying the existence of Tribalism.  However, there is no point in assigning blame.  It becomes important to work within the parameters that we have. Re-silence builds strength.  And, the systems will always evolve in ways we do not like.  Also, Humans dislike change. It is important we learn to adapt.  Innovation evolves as mistakes are corrected.
